Four years in Legon

Going through lectures

Meeting new lecturers

Making new friends

Going to church and back

Going home and back

Hostel to campus and back

On the phone and off

Coiled in my shell

Not talking; not reaching out

Making friends and losing them as fast

Spoiling phones and all that

No change in weight no matter what

The daily grind of life on campus

Yet the hand of God at work

Daily miracles

Frequent breakthroughs

Divine intervention when least expected

Healing and mercy and grace

God’s favour following daily

Jesus Christ at work

Son of God and Lord of my life

The Spirit of God doing his own thing

Coming with His gifts

Daily delivering direction

Friends here and there

Daily being a blessing

Even when I don’t deserve it

Teaching me and being there for me

Sharing my joys and sorrows

Supporting me

Almost out now

Every single day was worth it

God’s grace has seen me through

And I thank Him for His favour

And I’ll never change even one day!

Song of a daughter

God loves me!

Because He is; not because I love Him

(although I do, very much)

He gives me joy in the morning though

sorrow may last for a night

He wipes away my tears and fills my heart with dancing

He uses every incident in my life to demonstrate His love and care

He is present in my heart, my life and all around me

God loves me!

There’s no other statement more powerful!

Why, it’s the very reason for my being!

Tis amazing, that God loves lil ole me

With all of my faults, quirks and complaints

(He does even when my own family can’t stand me)

God loves me!

He gives me gifts, talents, abilities and skills

And only asks that I use them for His glory

He multiplies them when they’re used and

Paradoxically, they’re diminished when they’re not!

Yet, at all times, He is faithful and His promises are yea and amen in Christ Jesus

God loves me!

He watches me grow in Him,

lovingly and gently

He leads me day by day

Only asking that I trust in Him no matter what the world says

He speaks to me in many different ways- His word, my conscience, at church, my family and friends and even through circumstances (All of this goes to show how much love He has for me)

And it’s amazing, isn’t it, that He loves me like this and loves you like that too? That he created all of us –differently and deals as such with us

What a Wonderful God!
