I choose you LORD

I choose you LORD over myself.
I choose you over my dreams and desires.
I choose you over my flesh.
I choose you over my doubts and failures.
I choose you over my hopes and expectations.
I choose you LORD.

You chose me first.
You love me no matter what I do.
Your plans for me are good.
Your favour and grace rest upon me.
Your blessing maketh rich and you add no sorrow with it.
Your unconditional love are my joy and strength.

I pray for the grace to choose you as you have chosen me.
I ask you to help me abide in you.
I pray for the wisdom to bear the fruit you have called me to bear.
To love others as you have loved me.
To seek your kingdom above all else.
To trust for every need...great and small.
Amen

Waiting/Attendre

French
Attendre
Attendre n'est pas facile,
mais plusieurs fois il faut attendre.
Parfois j'attends patiemment,
d'autres fois j'attends anxiuesement.

English

Waiting
Waiting is not easy,
but many times it is necessary to wait.
Sometimes I wait patiently,
other times I wait anxiously.
But whatever I do, I still have to wait.
So I try to enjoy myself while waiting,
because that way it does not seem like waiting at all and the time soon passes.
Which is always a good thing, not so?
Cheers to enjoying waiting!

La nuit/The night

English
The night
During the night, the sun does not shine.
It is the moon which shines.
In the night, I am afraid.
The night and I are not friends.
In the night I dream of day.
But in the night, I sleep,
I rest and I rejuvenate myself.

Happy Fathers' Day

A father is an awesome gift without compare.
His love is not like that of a mother; it's different.
But it's just as deep if not deeper.
A father challenges and inspires you to be the best.

He's the one who shows you how to face the world both in word and deed.
He strengthens you in every way possible.
He makes you give off your best so that you can face this hard and difficult world.
He carries your burdens silently and is always very proud of you in his own way.

A father is an awesome gift without compare.
God bless all fathers and teach them to love as He does.

Happy Fathers' Day!

Here I stand

Here I stand at the cusp of a new stage,
Full of endless possibilities,
Somewhat unsure of myself,
Doubting my own potential,
Afraid that I'll fail,
But aware that standing still is suicide.

I'm excited about the possibilities.
But I wonder which way to go.
I'm afraid of what may happen.
But I know it is required that I move.
O God, you know me better than I know myself.
Please show me which way to go.

Interruptions

So are interruptions always as they seem? I don’t think so.
Sometimes they are God’s own way of turning our lives right side up.
Kinda like Christianity.
It was said of Paul and co that “the people who have turned the world upside down have come here also”
But all they were doing was turning peoples’ lives right side up.
With God as the head; just as it should be.
So next time you encounter a seeming interruption or things don’t seem to be going as they should,
Remember it might be an opportunity for things to be turned right side up.
You never know
Peace!

Happy Easter!

Christ our Paschal lamb sacrificed for us has risen from the dead; no more to die.
He has, with his death, put an end to death, sin, suffering and sorrow.
He has brought new life and with it, new hope.

Tis time to embrace the hope he brings
To rejoice at the wonders he has wrought
To celebrate the triumph over death and the victory won.

Bring your sorrows and exchange them for joy.
For mourning, he will give you gladness
For ashes he will give beauty and much more besides; the exchange is complete.

Tis time to fill the earth with the knowledge of the LORD.
To proclaim: he lives no more to die.
In every nook and cranny that all may come to know Christ.

Here I am

25 January 2019
00:09

Called to a life of service,
Called to bear fruit that will last,
Called to bring healing,
Called to proclaim the gospel,
I respond: Here I am.

Whether I am called as a child like Samuel was,
Or have a dramatic encounter like Paul,
Or no one knows my conversion story,
Or someone's life touched me like the jailer,
I respond: I am the servant of the LORD.

Whether I have to go through water,
Or I have to go through fire,
Or I have to keep going when I would rather not,
Or I have to give my life,
I respond: let it be done to me according to your word.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

01 January 2019
22:16

A fresh start!
Not so fresh but hey, an opportunity to start!
A time to be thankful for all of God's mercies
And to praise His kindness!
Coz really, we only deserved death.
A time to make plans: because we're still alive.
And to plan to execute our plans.
A time to dream and to trust; that all will be well!
A time to continue on this journey of life knowing that our ultimate aim is heaven.
And that our ultimate task to take people along with us to heaven.
A time to once more commit it all to Jesus.
A time to live and to dance!
Happy New Year!
